Last week we attended the First Nations Major Projects Coalition (FNMPC) conference in Vancouver. It was good to attend in person, connect with delegates from all over the world, and participate in a broad range of discussions under the conference theme of Toward Net Zero by 2050. Delegates heard from Chief Sharleen Gale from the Fort Nelson First Nation and Chair of FNMPC; Jaimie Lickers, Vice President, Indigenous Markets, CIBC; Secretary Jennifer Granholm from the U.S. Department of Energy; and the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister, Natural Resources, Canada, amongst many others. The panels were diverse and thought-provoking, and it is clear that Indigenous involvement and business partnerships will be one of the keys to our net zero energy future.
Enlighten and the JDS Group of Companies look forward to the next year’s conference.
